Our Story Your Future.
3Stage was built on a belief that film is changing and that independent cinema is entering a new era. Founded by director Alexander Igbanoi and producer Tapi Nyoni after meeting at university, 3Stage began with one simple mission: create the kind of access we wish existed when we started. Our team has grown with Co-Producer Jasmine Darroux-Xavier.
From short films and film festivals to feature development, we’ve always championed emerging talent, diverse voices, and stories that deserve to be seen. As technology continues to break down the old barriers of filmmaking, we believe the future belongs to independent creators, filmmakers who can build audiences, collaborate globally, and create impactful work outside traditional gatekeepers.
But 3Stage was never built just to make films. It was built to equip the next generation of creatives with the tools, knowledge, and community needed to survive and thrive in an industry that often feels closed off and confusing. We believe opportunities matter, but more importantly, we believe in teaching people how to create opportunities for themselves.
For many emerging actors, filmmakers, and writers, film festivals are the true beginning of their careers. That first screening, first collaboration, first connection, those moments shape everything. e felt a responsibility to bridge the gap between talent and access, especially for those leaving film school, drama school, or developing their craft independently. Our goal is to help creatives better understand how the industry really operates, connect them with the right people, and give them the confidence to build sustainable careers on their own terms.
That belief led to Co-Lab, a web platform designed to connect filmmakers, actors, writers, and creatives in real time. More than a production company, 3Stage is a movement focused on building community, creating access, and proving that the next generation of cinema doesn’t wait for permission.
